Comprehension is Hard Sometimes

Episode 5 of the vlog is live! In it I talk about how weird people are when it comes to comprehending things in the English language sometimes.

Also I have an update about Thoughtful Dinosaur. What’s the update? You’ll have to watch to find out.

I’m doing my best from now on to keep my videos under five minutes: I realize not everyone has the time or attention to watch a fifteen or twenty minute video on YouTube, which seems to be the trend some people are going towards on that platform – thanks, gamer content. I know you’re not solely to blame, but your tendency to have twenty to thirty-minute episodes of Lets Plays is one of those trends that’s getting really bothersome.

I know as a consumer of online video, there’s a place for long videos… in moderation. But again and again, I find myself drawn back to those people who make under five-minute videos like the Vlogbrothers and WheezyWaiter, and even the Thomcast. I want to make videos more like what they do – something short, but compact and fun and getting the point across quickly.

By the way, speaking of short videos, in the episode above I mentioned a YouTube series of short videos talking about how to be a better DM (Dungeon Master). It’s run by Matthew Mercer, a DM for the online show Critical Role (which I’m a HUGE fan of). Click here to see the first video of the series.

That’s all for now. Thanks for watching and reading!

You. Are. Awesome.
