Books, Conventions, and Goals

I probably should write about the Batgirl cover, because that’s the “it” topic the last couple of days. But,

  1. That was new from two days ago,
  2. the argument is stupid because god forbid a comic is made for an audience intended to be younger than 20 years old, and
  3. There are more important things to focus on.

One of those aforementioned more important things is…

New Work on Storenvy!

One of those things is Johnson & Sir, volume 1.

johnson and sir webcomicThe pre-orders have already been shipped so now it’s available for all. I’ll also have copies of this book for Swarm Con in April.

Speaking of Conventions…

Oh yes! I’ve been confirmed to go to Swarm Con down in Savannah, GA, April 25th and 26th. I’ll be there selling comics and art with my artistic bestie Chloe.

I’ve never been to Savannah, GA before, so I’m looking forward to the sites and the convention! If you’re in the area and want to meet up, leave a comment below. I would love to meet more fans!

There’s also going to be another announcement about the Women Warriors Project coming on Tuesday here on the blog.

Speaking of the blog…

New Years’ Goals

One of my goals for the new year was to write 1000 words a day. At first, I was able to meet this goal, but only because I updated this blog almost daily.

I stopped updating everyday because of reasons.

Now…It’s hard to write 1000 words a day.

That goal is usually an hour’s worth of writing, sometimes less if it’s something particularly inspired. When I stopped updating the blog daily, I had more time to write comic scripts, which was AWESOME…

For a while, anyway.

But 1000 words a day? That’s a lot of writing.

And there are some days where I just barely have it in me to make it.

I want to find a way to make this goal achievable. It’s important to me.

Why?

Because I write to get better at writing. That’s the only way you get better at it.

It’s like anytime someone asks me, “How do you get better at making comics?” You make them.

It’s work, but it’s work that’s worth it.

I don’t know if I’ll update this blog daily, but I do hope to update it more often.

Besides, there’s more art and creative things I want to share with you, and this blog is the best way to do it.

So I hope you come back soon! I know for sure Tuesday will have an update, because it’s related to the Women Warriors Project.

I hope you stick around!
