New Media: Pastels and Video?

My apologies for the late post.

Yesterday I was filming at the Phoenix Festival of the Arts for the Project for Awesome. It was a lot of fun and I met so many cool people there! With any luck I can squeeze all of them into the final cut of the video.

I’ll be making a bonus post here on the blog once the video is finished, so you can see it! It should be up by December 17th.

In other news…

My sister @TheTwitchingEye and her husband came back from my previous hometown in Ohio. They were visiting my grandparents who were celebrating their 50th anniversary (woot!). While they were there, they brought back a lot of the things I couldn’t bring with me when I moved to Arizona (because my car was full).

These things included John Green books, Calvin & Hobbes treasuries, my charcoals, and most importantly…

My soft pastels!

Boy did I miss these. I wanted to start doing some larger gallery-space works with these, but before I couldn’t do it because I didn’t have them. Plus, I didn’t want to buy a whole new set. So when Kristen and Justin brought them back I was so excited!

Once the holidays (and the madness) are over, I’ll be starting some new pieces. I already have some portraits in mind…

  1. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so
I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say,
I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any suggestions for newbie blog writers?

    I’d certainly appreciate it.

    1. First of all, thanks! I’m glad you like my blog.

Second, as for suggestions for blogging, it all depends on what you want to blog about. If you like, we can talk more in depth about it via email (that might be easier anyway. Otherwise the comment section might get a bit bloated). You can email me at kelcidcrawford @ gmail .com.
