Tank Girl and Follow The Leader: Review Day Tuesday

Here’s where you can read Follow the Leader online by Jonas McCluggage (otherwise known as Jonas Goonface). If you really like it, go to his Patreon page.

I mention this at the end of today’s video, but I’m considering cancelling Review Day Tuesdays and/or the YouTube video series altogether to focus more on making comics and art. But then again, I could show you how I MAKE said art and comics. Let me know your thoughts in the comments:

Should I continue Review Day Tuesdays? Should I make video about my art and comics instead? Or should I just make comics?

I have a few ideas (like, making videos showing how I make work) but be honest and let me know.

Also, if you’ve read Tank Girl or Follow the Leader, leave a comment and let me know what you thought!

Thanks for watching.

The Air Mage

the air mage by kelci crawford

This little illustration was therapeutic to make for me, because this week has been nothing but hair-fluffing angst (I had a Twitter rant about it, but long-story short: I had to ban a bad player from my Dungeons & Dragons group).

Now, what surprises me is when I share art like this, some folks will say this is made with watercolors. It isn’t. This is Copic markers – my favorite art tool in the history of ever.

Expect a mini-print soon on Storenvy featuring this little pixie of a mage. You can check out the Fire Mage and Water Mage in this post.

Next up…EARTH.

Found Another Shop to Consign With

So in today’s video, not only do I show off some new swag I got from the Wheeling Arts Festival last weekend, but I announce that my minicomics can now be found at a new shop!

If, however, you’re not in Wheeling, WV, Saint Clairsville, OH, or Chicago, IL, you can just order comics directly from me on Storenvy.

As Time Passes With the Beat: An Original Song

Today’s video features not only two watercolor paintings and a Thoughtful Dinosaur comic strip I’m making, but it also features a song I made.

This is the first song I’ve ever composed and made using a program called LMMS. The program is free to download if you want to give it a try for yourself.

Keep in mind, my musical background is from my days playing Taiko. If you want an idea of the kinds of songs I performed, here’s an example from a troupe I was a part of. That’s why, for the first song, it’s pretty much exclusively drum sounds.

Why am I painting two watercolor paintings? Find out…NEXT TIME.

Thanks for listening.
