Here’s a close-up of one my my Women Warriors illustrations for sale on Storenvy.
As some project are wrapping up, I’m beginning the search for other freelancing work for art, illustration, and comics. Time to build up portfolios and pitch to people!

Chloe and I were also extra prepared – we brought a large package of bottled waters, scissors, and tape, which are absolute must-haves if you intend on having a table at a convention.
It also helps if you have business cards, which I FORGOT the first day of the convention. Because I’m a derp.
However, I did meet a ton of cool people at the con, and I even snagged a TON of new comics to read. (Expect the return of Review Day Tuesday to cover all these awesome works!)
The first day, Saturday, was even busier than I expected, but that was because of 2 things:
There was a thunderstorm outside, which led to,
The Sidewalk Arts Festival being cancelled and making everyone who WOULD go to the festival, come inside for the con.
Since it was my first time in Georgia, I didn’t realize that thunderstorms in the area were as common as fleas on a dog. But hey, you live and you learn.
So because of the thunderstorm, Saturday was the busiest day. But Sunday still went well, too.
In fact, both days, I was busy making commissions for folks (which I wasn’t expecting. So…thank you!).
In fact, here are some pictures of the commissions I made for attendees, along with the attendees posing with their new works.
I missed a few pictures, like I forgot to take closer pictures of Brienne from Game of Thrones, Grandpa JoeStar from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (an anime I REALLY want to get back into because it has all the things I love in an anime, like muscles), and Figaro from Pinocchio (he was a sketch card commission).
Still, it was a lot of fun to be at this convention, and I hope I get to come back next year!
There’s a feature on this site of mine that I like, that I unfortunately had to take down temporarily.
The feature announced my availabilty to do commissions, and linked to my prices.
I’m temporarily taking it down for a few reasons.
First, I’m swamped with work! Between two part-time jobs on top of making and reviewing comics, I have a lot on my plate. I need to finish a few things first before I take on any new commissions from anyone.
Second, once I AM available for them again, there is a sale I plan on having for my commissions. There are a few sales ideas floating around in my mind, and by the time I’m available for commissions again, I can safely announce them.
Third, I’m also making other things to sell through my Storenvy store.
Fourth, I’m coordinating with the printer to finally get the first book of Johnson and Sir printed! The book is currently on pre-order (I’ll put the link at the bottom of the post) so you can reserve a copy.
The goal is to have print books ready and available by February 13th. But I’m having issues contacting the printer. I’m gonna blame the blizzards that have been blowing in recently.
So, yes, I have a lot going on. But these are good problems to have.
Thank you for your support in everything I do! Readers like you are the reason I’m able to make comics and write about them. Seriously. You’re the best.
