This year, I’m all about making things on the weekly.
The thing is, last year my goals were to do specific things EVERY DAY. After a while, that got really hard to accomplish with just one goal, but I had FOUR to keep up with.
This year, I’m going to go easier on myself in terms of production.
So no more writing 1000 words per day, no drawing two sketchbooks per day (though this year I’ll do my best to draw at least one each day, just to make sure I don’t get rusty), no more overloading myself with daily chores.

I first bought Clip Studio Paint (also known as Manga Studio) when it was on sale. Apparently there are periods of time when the software goes from around $50 to $15 (which is banana pants). I had heard of the software before, but when it went on sale I went, “Why not?” And got it.

There’s a noticeable trend in recent blog posts, and I wear it’s not intentional (this trend being where I talk about upcoming comics projects and what they’re about).
The last week and a half have been nothing but work – I got a new day job, so I have TWO day jobs until about September 6th. Plus there’s freelance work to take care of on top of that.
I managed to take Sunday off because I was celebrating my birthday! Technically my birthday was Monday, but I had to work that day. So the celebrations and trips were the day before.
Plus, just to add the panic cherry on top of the Work Stress Coffee Cake, an element of my website broke last week! A plugin I was using to display my images broke on my end of the website, so I had to uninstall the friggin’ thing and get a new thing in. It works, but the glitch took more time away from the art than I liked.
Thankfully it’s fixed now.
But that broken plugin? That’s why I wasn’t able to post a new update on the blog last week.
