I’m a Dungeon Master for a Dungeons & Dragons campaign played once weekly at the local comic shop. My players found a cave, The Cave of Wonders, which is illustrated above.

Inside the cave is a room full of gold, a room full of gems, a haunted ballroom, and a minotaur skeleton protecting the Golden Hand, an artifact that grants one wish every one hundred years. Continue reading “The Cave of Wonders”

New Goals for 2016

“Water Mage,” the first illustration of 2016. (Also on DeviantArt and Tumblr).

This year, I’m all about making things on the weekly.

The thing is, last year my goals were to do specific things EVERY DAY. After a while, that got really hard to accomplish with just one goal, but I had FOUR to keep up with.

This year, I’m going to go easier on myself in terms of production.

So no more writing 1000 words per day, no drawing two sketchbooks per day (though this year I’ll do my best to draw at least one each day, just to make sure I don’t get rusty), no more overloading myself with daily chores.

Please forgive my absence on the blog. There were book printers to hassle with, fights in the family to resolve (thankfully all offline), and a funeral to attend last weekend. In short, life was a total pain in the ass.

For the most part, things are resolved now. So I thought I would clue you in on some updates. Continue reading “The Almost-End of the Year Announcements”

How to Make Chicken and Apple Curry

Recently, I got Johnny Wander, Volume 1: Don’t Burn The House Down, a delightful slice-of-life comic that also includes handy little bits like how to make a curry.

The recipe in that book was for a chicken and pumpkin curry, but I modified it to have apples. Why? Mostly because I didn’t know where the pumpkin puree was in the store and I didn’t want to ask anybody.

However, I modified a few bits of the recipe, and it turned out…really well!

So I made it into a very basic infographic. Continue reading “How to Make Chicken and Apple Curry”
