Luke (left) and Mel (right) are both members of the local (to me) LGBTQ community, and both LOVE Johnson & Sir. Luke commissioned me to make a portrait of the both of them to look like characters that would pop out of the comic, and I said yes.
Look how it turned out!

One of the people I met at 3 Rivers Comic Con this year mentioned a podcast called ComixLaunch and recommended I give it a listen. So I did.
This is going to sound like product placement or a sponsorship, but let’s be clear, it isn’t. ComixLaunch is a podcast entirely about making comics and art, and running successful KickStarters to fund said comics and art, and how you can make a living as a working artist.
So I kinda’ got hooked after four episodes.

It’s a sketch from Johnson & Sir’s book.
Thoughtful Dinosaur is a new secret project I’m working on – the story of a young lady velociraptor named Billy, fresh from college and trying to figure out how to adult.
The story is based pretty heavily on my own experiences right after college, with a little added seasoning of my older sister’s post-college experience, plus the magical malarkey of Fantasyville.
Aww yes. This comic takes place in Fantasyville, the same town that Johnson & Sir police.
