New Stretch Goals Announced for The Legend of Jamie Roberts, Volume 2

I’m announcing new stretch goals for The Legend of Jamie Roberts, Volume 2 on Crowdfundr! Let’s get into them…

Are you a Fan Club member already? Then you’ll get a Punk Rock Thomas sticker added to your rewards bundle! If your rewards are digital-only, you’ll get him as a phone wallpaper.

If we can get to 15 backers, I’ll add the Punk Rock Jamie sticker to folks who order physical copies of volume 2!

If we can get to 20 backers, I’ll add Ranki stickers for folks who order physical copies of volume 2! (Be prepared for Ranki to be a little ~steamy~ by Ko-fi standards, wink wink).

At 25 backers, I’ll add a Punk Rock Daniel sticker to bundles!

The campaign is only two-thirds of the way to our base goal. So if you have the means, back the campaign and order your books today! Any amount, from $2 to $200, helps us reach these stretch goals. And if you’re broke, share the link! Sharing is caring and it helps a lot.

Gods & Spirits: RE-LAUNCHED

On Monday, the initial campaign run for Gods & Spirits: A Sketchbook on KickStarter did NOT meet the goal.

And I know why.

I set the asking goal too high, and I incorporated rewards that should not have been part of the initial asking goal.

So I went back, made some tweaks, and re-launched Gods & Spirits on KickStarter, to take advantage of the demand for the book that WAS STILL THERE.

And within 2 days, WE MADE OUR INITIAL GOAL!

So now Gods & Spirits: A Sketchbook WILL be going to print once the campaign wraps up.

Now the next goal is to raise extra funding to get stickers printed.

There are 3 designs available, plus new reward tiers that include stickers as part of the package.

If you haven’t pledged to the KickStarter yet, I hope you take the time to check out the rewards and claim the one you like.

Thoughtful Dinosaur’s KickStarter Run is Done

Oh. My. Holy. Banana. Pants.

Thoughtful Dinosaur has been fully funded for its first print run, and we got way over our initial goal! So now backers will get not only the books, but they’ll get KickStarter-exclusive postcards and buttons (or pins, if you prefer to call them that). Pretty. Darn. Sweet.

Further updates regarding Thoughtful Dinosaur will now be happening over on the KickStarter page, and the updates will be public – for the most part. Of course there will be backer-only updates with information that regards them in particular, but everything else will be available for the public. That means you’ll see updates on how the book printing is going, what the buttons will look like, and lots of other fun stuff!

In other news, I have a timeline in mind for leaving the day job (yes, I have one. If you want to know what’s going on, read this post). It’s not immediate, but the goal is to be able to leave there and get something new going by April 2017.

What’s the plan for work after the day job? Right now my mind’s on freelancing full-time, which means saving back money until I can make the leap, but nothing is set in stone (yet). I want to stay open for new possibilities!

One possibility is doing more gallery work – Patrons on Patreon know I’ve been working on some new illustrations and paintings, as they’ve been getting snapshots of my works-in-progress. There’s a local gallery looking for new artists, and the deadline to submit a portfolio is December… or possibly January. One of the members there told me it changes depending on the weather, literally.

PLUS! I’m getting The Case of the Wendigo ready for launch within the next two weeks! Stay tuned for more updates.

Johnson & Sir’s Campaign is Finished

Johnson & Sir is 100 pages and 2 years worth of silliness with elves, dinosaurs, mustaches, and anime cops. I had a blast making it, talking about it, and making prints and t-shirts for it.

I’m still blown away that the KickStarter to fund the book has not just reached the initial goal, but hit TWO stretch goals! Which means even more rewards for backers.

I want to say, thank you SO MUCH for reading the webcomic, and for all of your support. It’s readers like you that helped make Johnson & Sir be so popular and great.
